The Beginning (... AX10)

And since there is no record of the crawler yet, this post is much needed. I got the Axial AX10 from BoyzToyz (The official AXIAL importers in SA) in late 2010. My aim is to try and keep it as stock as possible, with an exception of parts that cause problems. The 55-turn motor ensures a slow and smooth power delivery. For those who don't know, more turns on a motor translates to slower but torquey'er output. I would love a 75 Turn motor, but at this point there are more important things to worry about. Be as it may, I finally had a chance for good photos while on the rocks at Lamberts Bay a week ago, so a few photos were taken :)

The only modifications I made was the one's deemed 'standard after purchase'. I didn't trim the wheel foams, but I did sipe the tires and drill holes in the rims. I still need to weight down the wheel with a few grams each (using wheel balancing stick on weights or solder). This is to bring the centre of gravity down lower.

Anyway, here is my very own AX10 4x4 crawler.
